{"id":4247,"date":"2025-02-17T13:00:57","date_gmt":"2025-02-17T13:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jubile2025-fatima.org\/tools-1st-saturdays\/summary-of-1st-saturdays\/"},"modified":"2025-02-27T15:22:28","modified_gmt":"2025-02-27T15:22:28","slug":"summary-of-1st-saturdays","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jubile2025-fatima.org\/en\/tools-1st-saturdays\/summary-of-1st-saturdays\/","title":{"rendered":"Summary of 1st Saturdays"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1- About Fatima<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On July 13, 1917, at Fatima, Our Lady announced that, in addition to the Rosary, she would come to ask for a future devotion for peace: <em>&#8220;To prevent war <\/em><strong><em>I will come<\/em><\/strong><em> ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart and <\/em><strong><em>Communion of Reparation on First Saturdays&#8221;.<\/em><\/strong> She would return in two stages, appearing to Sister Lucy of Fatima on December 10, 1925 to establish the <sup>1st <\/sup>Saturdays throughout the Church, and then on June 13, 1929 to ask for the Pope&#8217;s consecration of Russia.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While popes have already begun to follow Fatima&#8217;s request for the consecration of Russia, very few of the faithful practice the <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturdays. A few days after Sister Lucia&#8217;s death in 2005, <strong>Carlos Acutis<\/strong> saw the seeress of Fatima in a dream, telling him that: <em>&#8220;the practice of the five <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturdays of the month could change the destiny of the world. <\/em>&#8220;&#8221;   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>2025 is the <strong>100th anniversary<\/strong> of <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturdays, and it <strong>&#8216;s urgent to obey Notre Dame. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2- What did Our Lady ask for on the <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturday of the month?<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She made five specific requests to be carried out every<sup>1st<\/sup> Saturday of the month:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Confession <\/strong>(on Saturday or in the weeks before)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Communicate<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Recite <\/strong>a rosary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Keep him company for 15 minutes by meditating<\/strong> on a mystery from the Rosary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do these four acts with the <strong>intention of making reparation for the<\/strong>offences committed against her Immaculate Heart.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, she promised a marvellous grace to those who make five <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturdays <strong>in a row<\/strong>. Here are her exact words on December 10, 1925 to Sister Lucia: <em>&#8220;All those who, for five months, on the first Saturday, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, recite the Rosary, and keep me company for fifteen minutes meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, in a spirit of reparation, I promise to <\/em> assist them at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for the salvation of their souls <em>. <\/em><strong><em>assist them at the hour of death with all the graces necessary for the salvation of their souls.<\/em><\/strong><em> &#8221; <\/em>  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3- Three charity goals on the <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturday of the month<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The practice of <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturdays is therefore carried out for three <strong>charitable<\/strong> purposes, which have an order of priority:<\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>To make reparation for offenses against the Immaculate Heart of Mary<\/strong><sup>(1)<\/sup> (charity towards God): This is the first goal, and logically ties in with the<sup>1st<\/sup> commandment: &#8220;You shall love your God&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Obtaining peace on earth <\/strong>(charity towards others): At Fatima, Our Lady promised peace on condition that we follow Her requests. And Sister Lucia reminded us that to obtain this peace: <em>&#8220;God wants <\/em><strong><em>this way<\/em><\/strong> <em> <\/em><strong><em>and not another<\/em><\/strong><em>. &#8221; <\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Obtaining Heaven <\/strong>(charity towards oneself): if we pray five <sup>1st<\/sup> Saturdays <strong>in a row<\/strong>, Our Lady has promised to assist us in going to <strong>Heaven<\/strong> when we die.
