In an article by François Mennesson (published January 28, 2025), France Catholique announces the Jubilee 2025 of the 100th anniversary of the First Saturdays of the Month for Peace. In fact, the 1st Saturdays were requested by Our Lady of Fatima on December 10, 2025, in an apparition to Sister Lucy.
For this Jubilee, a worldwide event has been launched. Every month in 2025, the1st Saturday will be solemnly celebrated in one or more of the world’s major shrines in response to this request from Our Lady of Fatima.
In January, the event took place at the Chapelle de la médaille miraculeuse, Rue du Bac, Paris. In February, the1st Saturday will take place at the sanctuary of Notre-Dame de l’Attente in Maghdouché, Lebanon, with a celebration presided over by Mgr Elie Bechara Haddad, Archbishop of Saida and Deir El Kamar of the Greek Melkite Catholics.
In March, the1st Saturday will be held at the Holy House of Nazareth in the Loreto Shrine (Italy), with meditation on the Annunciation.
The Jubilee is coordinated by the “Alliance 1ers samedis de Fatima pour la paix”, which also accompanies the faithful by publishing a monthly meditation on a mystery of the Rosary, in line with the liturgical calendar. An opportunity to put into practice this Marian devotion so important for peace.
