Our Lady of Guadalupe is patroness of all America. Although the original place of the apparition is in Central America, in Mexico, she is honored on the entire American continent. The United States has the most churches and basilicas dedicated to her. One of the most important is in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Founded at the end of the 20th century by Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, this shrine has become an emblematic place of faith, peace and hope. In particular, the Cardinal immediately established the First Saturdays of the Month there.
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the program will be as follows:
🕚 11:45 am (local time – CT): Rosary (Glorious Mysteries)
🕛 12:15am: Holy Mass celebrated by Cardinal Burke
🕐 1:15pm: Meditation on the mystery of Pentecost
📍 Address: Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe
5250 Justin Road, La Crosse, Wisconsin 54601, USA

A place of grace under the mantle of Notre-Dame
The Virgin of Guadalupe, who appeared to Saint Juan Diego in 1531 on Tepeyac Hill (Mexico), remains a powerful symbol of unity, conversion and consolation for millions of faithful. Her image, miraculously printed on Juan Diego’s tilma, can still be seen today in Mexico City.
The sanctuary at La Crosse is a response to Mary’s constant invitation to return to her Son. In an often troubled world, these First Saturdays are a place of light, prayer and inner peace.
🕊️ “Do not be afraid. Am I not here, I who am your Mother?” – Our Lady’s words to Juan Diego.
