About us
Launched by a Catholic family in 2016, the year of the Great Jubilee of Le Puy en Velay (find out more about the links between Le Puy en Velay and Fatima www.notre-dame-de-france.org ), the Fatima First Saturdays for Peace Alliance now brings together Catholic faithful from around the world who realize and seek to spread the “1st Saturday of the month”, to achieve world conversion and peace.
Members come from all walks of life and from a variety of Catholic organizations (ordinary faithful, communities, movements, fraternities, associations, etc.), and have all recognized the fundamental nature of the 1st Saturdays of Fatima for the salvation of the world today, and the need to unite as a Church behind this request of the Blessed Virgin, whatever our differences.
In 2025, the alliance launched the “Fatima 1st Saturdays for Peace Jubilee 2025.”
It is responsible for international coordination of the event.
The Alliance is not a “movement” but a federation of local and autonomous groups, called “1st Saturday of the month groups”, whose members meet every 1st Saturday of the month to fulfill the four requests of the Blessed Virgin in the spirit of reparation: communion, 15-minute meditation on the Rosary, rosary and confession. Although autonomous, the groups are linked by various tools, in particular the meditation sent out by the Alliance every 1st Saturday of the month. Their only commitment is to fully respect the Blessed Virgin’s request.
The “1st Saturday of Fatima for Peace” Alliance is a totally independent lay initiative, respecting the two-thousand-year-old teachings of the Catholic Church. It does not take the place of any other action, and acts only as a coordinator at the service of all, making it easy to organize 1st Saturdays of the month throughout the Church.
